santapointingc0612.jpgThis year the North Branch Lions and Lioness are sponsoring Santa Days at Uptown Maple Commons, 38790 6th Ave.,  North Branch. There will be a “Breakfast with Santa” from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 5. The menu will be pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. Adults $4, 5-12  $3,  4 and under are free. You do not have to attend the breakfast in order to see Santa. Proceeds from the breakfast will go to the Senior Center. The Lioness Santa Workshop will be open for the Children’s Christmas shopping. Items will be available for 25 cents each. A donation for the food shelf would be appreciated. A box for donations to Anonymous Santa will also be there for anyone wanting to donate. Bring along your camera.


Santa’s Coming to town at Peterson’s Country Mill Saturday, Dec. 5 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Bring your whole family, including your pets. Santa will be taking lunch between 12:30 - 1 p.m. There will also be a Petting Zoo for kids, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Carriage Rides for the kid in all of us, between 10  and 2. Also a STEP  project   10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Christmas Bird Bough, a Make & Take Project, $5. All proceeds to benefit STEP program.


The jolly old man himself, Santa Claus, will visit five Lake Area Bank locations during the month of December. The dates and locations include: Dec. 10 – Lindstrom – 12790 First Avenue North and Dec. 11 – Harris – 6545 Stark Road. All of the Santa events will be held from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend.


Santa Day in Rush City is Saturday, Dec. 12, 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. at C.E. Jacobson Elementary.


It will be fun for the whole family, Saturday, Dec. 5,  10 a.m. - noon.  Come and enjoy a breakfast snack while Santa reads “Twas The Night Before Christmas.”  While you wait to sit on Santa’s lap, there will provide games and prizes. There will also be a craft activity for the first 100 children.  Parents are invited to bring their cameras.  Please join Room For Growing Child Care Center in North Branch for some holiday fun.  Call (651) 277-2441 to RSVP to this free event and for directions.

 
Christmas Party for Special Needs Children
 Families with special needs children are invited to attend a holiday party on Dec. 12, from 2-4 p.m. at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in North Branch. The 8th-grade elves from St. Gregory’s will host the free party. Co-sponsors are Family Pathways. There will be things for all ages to do.  Have a picture taken with Santa, decorate cookies with Mrs. Santa Claus, make ornaments to take home. There will be treats and door prizes. St. Gregory’s is located at 38725 Forest Blvd., one block south of Hwy. 95 in North Branch. Contact Bonita at (651) 462-4398 for more information.


Saturday, Dec. 12 is the annual Old Fashioned Santa Claus Day in Almelund - just like years ago.  Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at Amador Town Hall by fire truck at 2 p.m. and visit with children of all ages for two hours. Treats for all of the kids and home baked Christmas treats, apple cider and coffee for all are served.  All for free.

      
The Harris American Legion Post 139 presents Santa Day, Saturday, Dec. 12, 1:30 - Straw Pile Hunt for money, 1:45 - Santa arrives. Enjoy the bonfire outside, also.


Santa will visit Stacy at the Fire Hall on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 8 a.m. - noon. Come join the fun at the Christmas party.
